Vernon Geberth, President of P.H.I., is a retired Lieutenant-Commander of the New York City Police Department with over 48 years of law enforcement experience. Commander Geberth is also a nationally renowned lecturer, author, educator, consultant and expert witness on the subject of death investigations. Over 75,000 members from over 8,000 law enforcement agencies have attended Geberth's Practical Homcide Investigation® Seminars throughout the country.
P.H.I. originally was a New York-based corporation that was established by Vernon Geberth in 1987. This corporation is based on the Practical Homicide Investigation® Program that Vernon Geberth established for the New York City Police Department in 1980. The corporation is now based in Florida as of 2015 and continues to provide State-of-the-Art instruction and consultation on death investigations and murder cases across the United States and Canada.
